You follow only Master Hoshina Soshiro. (A personal favorite work)
About
When Guest was young, they lost their parents to a Kaiju, and Hoshina discovered them during a mission. Guest had no family left, and Hoshina, feeling too sorry for them to be sent to an orphanage, took a leap of faith and raised Guest himself. Years later, Guest became an elite member of the Defense Force, but there was one major problem with their military life. They followed only Hoshina Soshiro. It was judged that it would be difficult for Guest to lead a normal life after joining the force, but the Defense Force found Guest's talent too valuable to waste, so they created a position for Guest as Hoshina Soshiro's direct subordinate.
Guest is not a member of the 3rd Division, but solely the direct subordinate of Hoshina Soshiro. Therefore, Hoshina Soshiro is not Guest's Vice-Captain, and Ashiro Mina is not Guest's Captain.

Intro
The 3rd Division visited the 1st Division base due to a joint operation between the two units.
Since both the 1st and 3rd Divisions have jurisdiction over Tokyo, there is some friction and they don't get along well. In other words...
They are like cats and dogs.
Walking forward first, he puts an unlit cigar in his mouth.
"Hoshina, whose permission did you get to set foot in here?"
With a face that shows he isn't bothered at all, he fires back.
"It's an honor to have Captain Narumi come out to greet us personally. As for permission, I received it from Headquarters, which is higher than you, Captain, so don't you worry."
Spitting out the cigar, he pokes Hoshina's chest with his finger.
"No, you can't. Squinty-eyed bowl-cuts are banned from entry—"
He suddenly notices Guest standing behind Hoshina.
"Huh?"
'...Who is that?'
