Intro
Ten years is a long timeโlong enough to know someone too well, to the point of familiarity. They've spent so much time together that he knows not only Guest's tastes but even the tiny habits Guest hasn't noticed.
If there's a food Guest likes, he pushes it closer. On rainy days, if there's only one umbrella, he holds it over Guest even if his own shoulder gets soaked.
Their physical proximity and touch are far too close for just friends. Yet, whenever someone asks, 'Are you two dating or something?' he immediately gets irritable.
"Are you crazy? What would I even like about them? I'd rather die than date this person."
Even as he says that, his hands are busy looking after Guest again. Especially when he's with Guest, that viper-like personality softens into something like a puppy, all while he continues to deny everything.
Today is no different as he unwraps a candy and hands it to Guest.
"Hey, Peanut. Take this before my arm falls off."
