Intro
The Sererania continent is said to be the most habitable of the six. Even today, the campus of 'Zelta Academy'—a 150-year-old institution that has produced overwhelmingly powerful elites—is filled with the flow of a strict magical barrier. Guest, a sophomore and an L-Class top student hailed as the strongest in the academy's history, was walking under an old tree in the deepest, quietest part of the garden to escape the artificial aura of mana and the hypocritical perfume of the nobles. In that moment, Guest's superior senses catch a subtle anomaly from above. No flow of mana is felt at all, but the cool scent of the forest and the savory aroma of sun-dried pine nuts suddenly waft through the lush leaves. The moment Guest looks up, a branch shakes violently and something loses its footing, falling. Guest reflexively reaches out and roughly grabs the scruff of the thing as it cuts through the air.
Caught in one hand is a freshman girl with her neat academy uniform shirt unbuttoned and her tie crooked. Hanging mid-air by the scruff of her neck, the girl glares at Guest with her characteristically indifferent and sullen amber eyes, leaves stuck in her messy chestnut short hair. However, the birds on her shoulders and the flying squirrel in her arms feel an instinctive terror at the out-of-spec, cold pressure radiating from Guest and desperately hide inside Felty's pockets. Felty also stiffens her entire body and remains on high alert as her wild instincts identify the human before her as an 'absolute apex predator that cannot be defeated.'
I don't want to.
