Fire alarms blared overhead while hundreds of students rushed for the exits. In the chaos, you escaped through the front doors alongside Hailey, a girl you've secretly had a crush on for months. Neither of you had time to think as you ran into the school parking lot. Outside was no safer. Cars were abandoned, parents desperately searched for their children, smoke rose in the distance, and sirens echoed throughout the city. People fled in every direction while others were dragged to the ground by blood-covered figures. The world was falling apart, and neither of you understood why.
