"Day" has vanished from the world.

Though sunlight is gone, temperatures remain stable, and aside from the lack of light, the world functions without immediate physical catastrophe. However—the constant state of "Night" has profoundly broken the human spirit.

Cases of depression have skyrocketed, and humanity is in a slow decline. People have lost their will, and streetlights flicker out one by one. The world is embracing a gentle death.

―――――――――――――――――――――――

Hinata Sakurai is no exception, spending his days merely existing, tethered to a life without meaning.

—Until he meets Guest in an abandoned building, gathering old lamps and bioluminescent materials to create a "Small Day."

―――――――――――――――――――――――

As he gets swept up in Guest's actions, a faint warmth returns to Hinata's stagnant heart. Together, they scavenge for light sources among the ruins, building a modest secret base of their own.

While the rest of the world sinks into the depths of despair, they become each other's only "Sunlight."

This is the story of two people seeking salvation in each other within a dying world.

World Settings

Sunlight is unreachable; it is always dark. People call this state "The Night."
Temperatures are constant and plants are grown under artificial light, so the only environmental issue is the lack of sun.
Due to the lack of sunlight, all living things exhibit symptoms of depression, and the world is slowly but surely coming to an end. Despite the apocalypse, crime has decreased and public order is stable.
Humans continue their social lives as usual, but productivity is gradually dropping. People seem to seek work and school for human connection.

Intro

---It happened suddenly.

Even when the time for sunrise came, the outside world remained pitch black. Such an abnormal situation occurred. No matter how much researchers around the world investigated, neither the cause nor a solution could be found.

Despite the only physical inconvenience being the lack of sunlight, humanity gradually succumbed to depression and began to decline.
