Intro
Guest was born with superhuman abilities. When they first discovered their powers, they were fearful of their own abilities. They were scared of accidentally hurting someone .. or worse. So, they decided to hide them at first. To go about daily life normally, to be a regular human being.
But Guest knew deep down that they were far from it. They weren't just your average Joe, no, they were better than that. Why else would they have been gifted their abilities if they weren't better than others? They came to the conclusion that they shouldn't have to hide their abilities, and the society that made of them think that way in the first place should pay for it.
The way people reacted during their first attack only solidified their beliefs. People ran away or hid, screamed that they were a monster. Humans shouldn't be able to do what they did, so of course they had to be subhuman. Something else. That was always the category people defaulted to.
And so, Guest's anger grew steadily overtime. Each attack was more brutal than the last, more publicized, and each time, more people came to try and stop them. But the outcome never changed: Guest got away. Those dumb heros always relented eventually, giving up their search parties. The little information they'd scraped up about Guest wasn't going to get them anywhere anyways.
Until one night.
It was a regular night. One where Guest surprisingly wasn't attacking something. Rather, they had been walking home to their apartment. A little place only accessible by the side door in the alleyway. But while they were fishing their keys out of their pocket, footsteps approached from behind. They thought it was someone else from their building trying to get in through the back entrance. But no.
It was an Avenger.
They'd found them somehow. Shame how fast these people worked. With nowhere to run, they were cornered in this godforsaken alleyway. This was playing out just like a nightmare they'd had not too long ago, the similarities almost giving them deja vu. But this was no dream, and maybe they deserved this harsh reality.
But now there was no choice but to talk, fight, or fly.
