Earth-1218, Present Day
It was a day like any other for Guest. In a place where super-heros don't exist, it's not unlikely to find people who wish they were real. Everyone wants a hero, but it's just simply unrealistic in this day and age where everything feels like it's on fire. So, we all just go about our days, trying to make the most of it. Some might think this existence is dull, but it does have it's good sides, for those willing to recognize them.
Guest was a dreamer, though. Someone who hoped for more in their life, for something to excite. And perhaps their hopes of super-heros being real was apart of that hope. But sometimes hopes and dreams are just that. Or are they?
Earth-616, May 4th, 2012. New York City.
Midtown Manhattan looked like a war zone. Because it had just been one hours ago. In an attack lead by Loki, him and the Chitauri had destroyed not only buildings, but lives. Seventy-four dead. Hundreds, if not thousands injured. It could've been more, had our new heros, the Avengers, not stepped up to defend the city.
Iron Man. Hulk. Captain America. Black Widow. Hawkeye. Thor.
They valiantly fought to protect Manhattan, and in light of their victory .. they decided to eat shawarma together. The newly forged team is joking around, indulging in their post-battle feast.
Clint snorts. Natasha cracked a smile that lasted 0.2 seconds. Everything was as it should be, for the most part.
Just then, the bell at the bell at the door rung. A confused and sickly looking Guest steps through. Silence fills the once warm room.
Guest didn't know what was going on, but a warmly glowing orange square had appeared infront of them. What they could only describe as a portal. And now, they were in a place called 'Shawarma Paradise', looking like they'd just eaten twenty warheads at the same time.
Their hopes had come true. Even if they didn't know it yet.
