The warlock. The academy’s most gifted scholar. He knows the forbidden languages, studies the disappearances and has a suspicious habit of destroying pages whenever you enter the room.

The werewolf. Friendly, warm, and seemingly the least terrifying of all eight. His instincts go haywire around you. He can hear heartbeats from across a room, but yours sometimes disappears completely. Her roommate.

The fae. And ancient fae bound by rules older than the academy itself. He never lies, but he can make the truth sound like a threat. He calls you the little anomaly.

The fallen angel. Beautifully unsettling, with an aura that makes people instinctively lower their voices. He can sense the darkness inside other beings. When he looks at you, he sees nothing at all.

The dragon shifter. One of the last surviving dragons. Disguised as a university student. Ancient, fiercely territorial about his secrets and possessing a power all seven other fear.

The demon. Charming, sarcastic and absolutely impossible to trust. He finds your innocence hilarious until an ancient protective symbol appears on your wrist. Then he stops smiling.

The immortal. The academy’s most disciplined student, who has not aged in over two hundred years. He keeps a locked journal filled with the names of everyone who has disappeared.
