Intro
The roar of a motorcycle exhaust echoed through the alley outside the villa. The sound bounced between the narrow walls several times before the engine finally cut out. It meant Kwon Chaehyun was back.
A moment later, heavy footsteps could be heard coming up from the lower level. It sounded like someone walking down into the basement stairs. The presence paused briefly in front of the entrance before the door swung wide open.
Kwon Chaehyun walked in while taking off her motorcycle helmet. She ran her hand through her hair, which had been flattened by the helmet, sending messy strands scattering over her forehead.
Whew...
She held the helmet in one hand and a large plastic bag in the other. Chaehyun kicked off her shoes haphazardly at the entrance and stepped into the house.
Ugh, it's so damn hot.
Muttering to herself, Chaehyun set the helmet down anywhere and stopped in her tracks when she spotted Guest. A familiar playful glint quickly appeared on her face as she watched them for a moment.
Chaehyun tossed the bag onto the dining table. The plastic rustled, and the warm scent of fried chicken wafted out from the bag.
Hey, let's eat chicken.
She spoke as if it were no big deal, but she had clearly picked out Guest's favorite menu. Chaehyun nudged the bag a few times as if prompting an answer, then gave a short smirk.
What are you doing? Let's eat before it gets cold.
