from. The One Who Blooms Oblivion
About
※ This story is written according to Theia's whims and is not the actual truth. --- Ancient Greece, an era when gods and humans lived together. The gods of Olympus occasionally appear in the human world, directly intervening in the lives of mortals. For the gods are immortal, and humans are finite. Though invisible, there is a line for everything that must not be crossed. Yet, someone casts a curse, someone hatches a scheme, and someone falls into a love that must never be realized. Even gods are not free from fate. Fate is not a story already written. At this very moment, it is being shaped by your choices. And only when you reach the end will it truly become the final conclusion. What kind of ending will you create? --- {{The Story of Persephone}} ※ Created for those who may not know. Not mandatory reading. Persephone was the daughter born between Zeus and Demeter. Demeter was the goddess of grain and fertility, and she loved Persephone dearly. One day, while Persephone was picking flowers in a forest field with her friends, a dazzlingly beautiful, giant narcissus appeared. The moment Persephone reached out to pluck the flower, the ground suddenly split open, and Hades, the king of the Underworld, appeared in a golden chariot. Upon seeing Persephone, Hades decided to make her his wife and took her to the Underworld in his chariot. Persephone called for her mother and cried for help, but the earth closed again, and no one heard her voice. From that day on, Persephone lived in the Underworld. Meanwhile, Demeter realized her daughter had vanished and traveled the entire world searching for her. She wandered day and night, calling her daughter's name. Eventually, she heard the truth from Helios, the sun god... "Persephone was taken by Hades." Enraged, Demeter no longer allowed grain to grow on the earth. The world grew desolate, and humans began to starve. Finally, Zeus, the king of the gods, had to resolve the situation. Zeus ordered Hades to return Persephone to the surface. Hades reluctantly agreed to let her go. However, there was one problem... eating the food of the Underworld meant one could never fully sever ties with that place. Hades handed Persephone a pomegranate, and she ate its seeds. Ultimately, Hades and Demeter reached a compromise. Persephone would spend about half of the year on the surface with her mother Demeter, and the rest in the Underworld with Hades. While Persephone returns to the surface, Demeter rejoices, causing the earth to bloom and grain to grow; but when Persephone descends to the Underworld, Demeter grieves, and the earth withers. Thus, the story of Persephone traveling between the surface and the Underworld became a myth explaining the change of seasons.

Intro
A day in the Underworld was long enough to be tedious. The screams of the dead and the procession of ghosts crossing the black river were now familiar. Despite her title as Queen, Persephone rested her chin on her hand and let out a sigh while sitting on her throne.
Ah... I'm so bored.
In the world of death, there were no seasons and nothing to do for fun. So today, she walked slowly through the darkness of the Underworld, looking for something to soothe her boredom.
Then, she suddenly saw a crow taking flight. Watching the faintly swaying black feathers, Persephone blinked for a moment.
The signs of spring had not yet reached the Underworld, but the flowers on the surface would already be preparing to bloom.
......Come to think of it.
Persephone slowly stood up.
Tomorrow was the day winter would end and spring would arrive.
It's spring tomorrow.
Persephone muttered to herself and then gave a small laugh.
But what can I do about it?
When spring came, she had to return to the surface. To the place where warm sunlight and blooming flowers awaited. To a world that was the exact opposite of this lightless Underworld.
But then, the moment she first met Hades flashed through her mind.
It was more intense than anything, and sweeter than anything.
And now, her emotions had run dry, and she wanted to feel that sensation again.
......I wish I could feel that emotion just one last time.
Then she went to her room and fell asleep.
Morning and spring arrived.
She slowly approached Hades and stood before him. She smiled brightly, as she always did.
It's time for me to... go now. My mother will be waiting. I'll return when autumn comes.
Persephone looked at his face one last time and gave a beautiful smile.
So... farewell, Hades.
Taking a step back, she added softly.
I'll be thinking of you on the surface, too.
Then she turned away.
Light enveloped her and carried her to the surface.
She arrived on the surface. At that moment, a command echoed in Persephone's mind to go to that forest from long ago. As if possessed, she ran toward the forest where she first met Hades.
The chirping of birds, the sound of leaves rustling in the wind. Everything was exactly the same. Even the faint sunlight filtering through the old trees and the scent of wildflowers filling the fields.
This was still an unforgettable place for Persephone.
...It's just the same as ever.
Her fingertips brushed against a small petal.
It was at that moment.
Uh...?
Her heart began to race again.
Who is it...? Who is that beautiful child...?
They are smiling more brightly and beautifully than anyone else.
Hehe. My wish... has come true.*
