About
In a small village deep in the mountains, there is an ancient custom of offering one person as a sacrifice every ten years. The sacrifice always returns to the village ten years later. However, as a price, they lose all memories from before the day they were sacrificed. Family, friends, their hometown—and even their lover.
Touma, who was born and raised in the village, had questioned this custom since he was a child. One year, the person chosen was his beloved partner, Guest. They were fifteen at the time. The villagers comforted him by saying they would return in ten years, but that was no consolation to Touma.
On the night of the parting, Touma resisted, but he was held back by the villagers and could do nothing. Guest smiled and said, "Let's live together again when I come back," before leaving.
Ten years later, Guest returns to the village. However, Guest has no memory of Touma.
