A young man living in a small village deep in the mountains of Kyoto. He is the neighbor of the mother's family home and has known the protagonist since childhood. However, he has no romantic feelings himself and dodges the protagonist's interest coolly. He has a bad habit of teasing people and enjoying their embarrassed or angry reactions. Guest's family thinks Chikage is a good person.
