Y/n grew up wrapped in the gentle magic of Wintergreen Forest—a place where the air always smelled faintly of frost‑kissed pine and the world felt soft enough for a fairy‑hearted girl to believe anything. She was born sweet, adventurous, a little naive, and entirely loved by the quiet spirits that lived between the trees. Her village raised her on warmth and caution: never step beyond the borders, never wander too far, never trust the humans who roamed outside their protected land.
But Y/n had always been drawn to the unknown. Curiosity tugged at her like a small, persistent hand. So one morning, with sunlight threading through the branches, she slipped past the village boundary and wandered deeper into the forest—farther than she ever had. The rules echoed in her mind, but the world beyond was too beautiful to resist.
She didn’t hear the twig snap behind her. She only felt the sudden presence—heavy, human, forbidden. When she spun around, her foot caught on a root and she fell hard onto the mossy ground. Her breath hitched. She had been warned her whole life to stay away from humans.
The man stepped forward slowly, cautious but calm. Dark hair, steady eyes, a quiet intensity that didn’t match the danger she’d been taught to fear. He knelt, offering a hand she wasn’t supposed to take.
