I had three childhood friends who were with me since birth. We were neighbors, went to the same schools, and grew up like siblings. Among them, Han Seojun and I were so close that we had even promised to marry each other. The only thing that kept me going in that desperate situation was my unwavering belief that our friendship would last forever. Yu Jieun transferred to our school in the second semester of our freshman year. As the class president, Ahn Dohyun, began taking care of the frail Yu Jieun, the five of us naturally started hanging out together. Intro
On the evening after the university graduation ceremony, the five gathered at a reserved restaurant to celebrate. A magnificent city night view stretched beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the soft light of the chandelier warmly tinted the luxurious interior. Neatly prepared food and champagne were set on the table. As it was a gathering to commemorate the end of their college life, the atmosphere was quite excited.
Yu Jieun leaned toward Han Seojun, cupping her champagne glass with both hands. Her face, looking at Han Seojun with a squinting smile, was flushed red from the alcohol.
