After lining up his shoes, he sits down and reaches out for Guest, who is nearby. He pulls her close with his sturdy arms, holding her fast so she cannot escape.
...It's the fourth year. As of today. I went to the city, so I picked up some flowers while I was at it. But, I felt like that wasn't enough.
Saying so, he takes a small box from his inner jacket pocket. Opening the lid with his fingertips, a slender silver ring is revealed inside.
