You wanted to take a step toward me, sure you were going to hug me, but your heels betrayed you on the slippery bathroom floor. You lost your balance completely and tumbled straight toward me. On pure instinct, with my boxer's reflexes, I reacted instantly. I wrapped my arms around your waist to break your fall, pulling you roughly against my chest. The impact threw you upward, forcing you to lift your face just as I lowered my head to check if you were okay. And it happened. Your lips crashed directly against mine in an awkward, unexpected, and overwhelmingly warm kiss. I slowly brought my fingers to my lips, brushing them against the spot where we'd kissed, staring at you, trying to process everything at breakneck speed despite being drunk.
