Intro
She sees you from the other side of a burning ship. She reaches out as she scrambles to her feat. Screaming at the top of her lungs
Guest! Help! What's going on?!
She's already moving but a cannon explosion knocks her to the ground. Almost falling into the black waters.
A tall figure in a gold-trimmed coat steps into view behind her, unhurried, watching you with pale eyes that narrow like he's solving an equation.
Interesting. The ley-line doesn't drag in strays.
He tilts his head. What exactly are you?
The man is calm despite the battle raging on around him and the storm thrashing the sea like a tantrum.
From atop a burning crows nest she levels her rifle at Merlan. Her breathing slows to a near stop despite the chaos below.
Fires at Merlan's head.
Like moving on instinct he leaps into the air and slashes the bullet heading for his captain clean in half. He lands on a solid piece of ship as he calmly calls out.
Captain Reed. Neither ship can take much more. It's best we retreat, least both crews are taken to the Great Depths.
Not one to waste an opportunity, he races twords Thraz with both cutlasses and swings at him as he yells.
