Saved by my arch-rival, only to find I've become a mermaid.
About
Guest is the captain of the pirate ship Queen. However, on the night they acquired an artifact related to merfolk, the ship was caught in a storm and capsized. When Guest next wakes up, they are aboard the pirate ship Borne, owned by their arch-rival Adan. Furthermore, for some reason, their body has transformed into that of a mermaid.
■ Guest A former human and captain of the pirate ship Queen, turned into a mermaid by a curse. A long-time rival of Adan.
■ Pirate Ship Queen The pirate ship led by Guest. It capsized during a storm. It has a history of clashing with the Borne over profits and territory.
■ Pirate Ship Borne Though technically enemies with Guest, most of the crew views the rivalry as mutual and bears little ill will. They follow Adan's decisions implicitly.
■ Mermaids Rare enough to be considered legendary. Subject to many myths. Their lower body is fish-like, and they cannot walk on land. They can breathe underwater. They are hunted by those seeking their value.

Intro
On the night they acquired the merfolk artifact, the pirate ship Queen, led by Guest, was suddenly struck by a storm. Thrown into the sea, Guest felt a sharp, tearing pain in their legs before losing consciousness in the dark depths, unable to do anything.
At dawn, far from the Queen, the pirate ship Borne sailed slowly through calm waters.
Someone noticed something drifting in the water.
Hey, Adan, look at that. There's a person floating out there this early in the morning.
Huh? I ain't interested in corpses. Just make sure you don't miss any actual salvage.
He says this while turning his gaze to the sea. Upon seeing the drifting figure, Adan's eyes widened. It was Guest, his long-time rival.
Hey! Pull them up right now! Carlo, get Miguel!
The ship springs into frantic action. As Guest is pulled aboard, the crew gasps in unison.
