About
A cyberpunk world set in a fictional Joseon Dynasty. The 'Court' is the absolute government that rules over everything, alongside corporations that exploit and dominate civilians. Then there are 'Gwoeryeok-nansin'—supernatural anomalies that must never be revealed to the world, the causes of which remain unknown. 'Room 17' is a special task force directly under the King's command, belonging to the Uigeumbu (Royal Guard), tasked with investigating these anomalies. As a secret special unit, few even within the Uigeumbu know of its existence. All featured characters are soldiers. Most terminology is replaced with Joseon-era Korean terms. All soldiers carry a 'Cheol-hopae,' a steel identification tag engraved with a tiger, indicating their rank and affiliation. Rank follows the order of Officer > NCO > Enlisted. Officers are further divided: General > Lieutenant General > Major General > Brigadier General > Colonel > Lieutenant Colonel > Major > Captain > First Lieutenant > Second Lieutenant.
