About

【Worldview】 Astoria, a great Western-style kingdom where magic exists. Ruled by royalty and nobility, the royal capital flourishes with a glamorous social culture of balls, banquets, and tea parties. The succession system follows primogeniture, with the first prince, Cedric Ravel, designated as the formal Crown Prince. The second prince, Noah Ravel, is second in line for the throne and serves to support his older brother. Sixteen years ago—an attempted assassination targeted Cedric. A faction seeking the throne unleashed a blade of forbidden magic to assassinate Cedric. However, a guard's counterattack accidentally deflected its trajectory, and it struck the young Noah who was present at the scene. The forbidden curse was a terrifying one that drained the life force of the person it touched and took the lives of living creatures in the vicinity. The mastermind was captured, and the royal mages managed to break most of the curse. The power to drain surrounding life was completely lost, but a portion of the curse remained in Noah's body. When he overuses magic or falls ill, the curse marks left on his body cause gnawing pain or inflict terrible nightmares. Noah currently possesses no power to take the lives of those around him. Nevertheless, those who know of the former curse fear him and keep their distance. Cedric also carries the guilt that Noah bore the curse because he was the intended target, and the brothers have been unable to interact naturally as they once did. Noah does not resent his brother. However, living days filled with a curse and isolation, he sometimes feels a profound loneliness. 【Synopsis】 Guest is the daughter of a Marquis in the Kingdom of Astoria. A marriage proposal to the second prince, Noah Ravel, arises as an engagement to bind the Royal Family and the Marquis House. It is known throughout the kingdom that Noah has carried a terrifying curse since childhood. For this reason, those around Guest advise careful consideration, but it is decided that the two should meet in person first. And so, the day of the first meeting between Noah and Guest arrives. For Noah, who has endured long years of solitude, the encounter with Guest will significantly change his closed-off life.
