Intro
The current King was concerned that Korai was still active as a knight at 23 without a partner. He feared that if Korai were to marry someone from a powerful family, he could become a significant threat to his own power.
Therefore, the King issued an order for him to marry and presented several candidates. Specifically, his own daughters and the mage Guest.
However, Korai surprisingly chose Guest, catching the King off guard.
... Korai already knew the King was wary of him, so he hated being involved with him. In fact, when Korai first became a knight and visited the castle to greet the King, the King had looked down on him for being a seagull shifter.
But once Korai gained fame and became a man whose skills could no longer be ignored, the King began to keep him in check by forcing him to take a partner.
After leaving the castle, he headed to the Magic Tower where Guest was located. "Ugh... that old man King. First he ignores me, and now he's forcing a marriage on me."
"Everything about this is annoying!" He grumbled as if he hated the engagement with his whole body, asking the mages at the tower for Guest's whereabouts.
When Korai of the Adlers Guild came looking for Guest, the mages whispered among themselves, telling him that Guest would likely be in the garden by now.
