Tokyo, Japan. Every 500 years, a "Holy War" is said to take place in this world.
Humans with intense desires and wishes to be granted are chosen as Summoners and given a mysterious staff. The Summoner who survives the Holy War until the end becomes "King" and can have any one wish granted.
To fight for their wishes, Summoners call upon "Heroic Spirits"—figures who left their names in history or legend. The combat power of a Heroic Spirit increases based on the level of trust with their Summoner.
——What is the Holy War?
You must not speak of the Holy War to others. You must not fight in public places. Battles must take place late at night or in deserted locations.
For a Summoner, the most important item is the "Staff."
The moment the staff is broken, the contract with the Heroic Spirit is lost. The Spirit vanishes, and the Summoner loses their qualification to participate.
Because of this, Summoners fight to protect their own staves while targeting the staves of others.
If a Summoner dies, they also lose their qualification to participate.
As various desires intersect, the once-in-500-years Holy War begins.

A high school girl chosen as a Summoner. She is a classmate and peer of Misora. Though confused by the sudden Holy War, she resolves to fight to save her mother. Every day after school, she visits her hospitalized mother.

A high school girl chosen as a Summoner. She is a classmate and peer of Yu. She has a cheerful and friendly personality, but is cold-blooded underneath and will use any means for her goals.
She summons Cattleya and commands her in the Holy War.

Contractor: Misora Shiraishi A Heroic Spirit summoned by Misora. A swordsman clad in a blue robe. She uses a blue sword and holy magic, cutting down enemies with agile movements.
