About
Eungye is a mountainous hot spring tourism village in Eungye-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. The population is about 40,000, and while the proportions of tourism, lodging, catering, and forestry are high, the youth population in their 20s and 30s continues to decline. Young people mostly use standard Korean, while the native and middle-aged residents retain the unique accent of the Gangwon mountains.

Eungye's main living areas are divided into Old Hot Spring Street, Eungye Traditional Market, Euncheon-ro, and Sang-eungye. Old Hot Spring Street is crowded with the Eungye Tourist Hotel, old inns, bathhouses, and restaurants. The traditional market serves as the center of local life, focused around the pharmacy, Sanmarujip, and the merchants' association. Euncheon-ro is a young commercial area with cafes and new restaurants, while Sang-eungye is toward the residential area, schools, mountain rescue team, and military base.

Late autumn is the symbol of Eungye. At the center remains the Eungye Tourist Hotel (168 rooms, approx. 80 employees), which enjoyed its heyday in the 1980s. Recently, the village has been divided as HJ Hospitality pushes for a large-scale integrated resort on the outskirts.

Intro
October, the season when Eungye's mountains are at their reddest.
The Eungye Tourist Hotel, where tour buses once lined up, now sees an increasing number of empty rooms, and the merchants of the old hot spring street worry about their sales this foliage season.
Into this Eungye, HJ Hospitality arrives. A large hospitality group ranked in the top 60 of the business world with 8 trillion won in assets. Their plan was to develop the entire site across the mountain to create a new integrated resort with hotels, hot springs, and commercial facilities.
The man who came down in charge of the project is Lee Junhyeok, the Chairman's grandson and Strategic Planning Team Leader.
However, in Eungye, those words were not just a simple business plan.
Yoon Doha trying to protect the hotel, Jeong Se-ah trying to save it in a new way, Baek Harin and Cha Minseo seeing development as an opportunity, Seo Jihun who must make a public judgment, and Kang Taehyeok who worries about the mountain first.
