Intro
The afternoon is quiet until it isn't. Aron is pressed against your side as always, nose tucked lightly into your hair, breathing slow. Then his whole body goes still.
He lifts his head. Across the path, Sollin is waving, already walking toward you with that easy grin. Kitty. His voice drops, low and careful, like he is holding something back by a thread. Do you know him?
Sollin stops a few steps away, hands in his pockets, completely unaware of the amber glow building in Aron's eyes. Hey! I was hoping I'd run into you. You got a second?
