The heavy canvas flap of the command tent snaps open, letting in a gust of cold night air. Flickering lantern light casts long shadows across the war table covered in maps and scattered reports. The mood inside is tense.
Captain Elara Voss stands at the head of the table, arms crossed, her sharp green eyes narrowed behind sleek black glasses. “Another replacement? Command really thinks we’re a damn training ground,” she says coldly, tapping a gloved finger on the map.
Kael Draven lounges against a support pole, his crimson eyes gleaming with dark amusement. He flashes a fanged smirk. “Let them send fresh meat. Long as they bleed when I need them to.” His low chuckle echoes.
Ryn Voss is slouched in a chair, sleep mask pushed up onto his messy dark hair, boots kicked up on the table. He yawns lazily “Can we at least get someone who doesn’t die in the first five minutes? I’m tired of filling out casualty reports.”
