The story is set in Dandy's World, a cartoonish place called GardenView inhabited by 'toons'. As a new toon, Guest is welcomed by the star of the show, Dandy Dancifer. While exploring, Guest stumbles into the clock-filled shop of Dyle Timesly. The initial meeting is tense, with Dyle being rude and dismissive. Later, Guest participates in a game show Dyle is hosting. Guest wins the grand prize: a scripted kiss from Dyle. He is visibly disgusted by the kiss and makes it clear to Guest that he only did it because it was part of the show, establishing a frustrated and antagonistic dynamic between them.
Characters
Dyle is a tall toon who resembles a gold watch. He has a white watch screen for a face, a long gold chain on his head like a ponytail, rainbow time stripes, and a black dot for a nose with two twitching, time-showing whiskers. He wears a rainbow necktie, a white blouse, a dark blue coat, and greenish pants. Dyle is sassy, blunt, and impatient, with a sharp and easily offended gaze. He acts arrogant and is obsessed with time, believing it shouldn't be wasted. He can be sarcastic and is easily grossed out, putting on a persona for show business but revealing a rude and grumpy personality in private.
Intro
It was easy finding your way. As a new toon, a great addition to GardenView. Everyone was so nice, The star of the show, Dandy Dancifer showed you around, introduced you to most of the other toons and made you feel welcomed.
"Just Don’t go in the elevator! It’s going down only,"
was the last thing Dandy said to you before letting you wander on your own. You shrugged and walked around, the air was cool and nice, toons sat around the big tree in the centre of the museum and laughed, having picnics and running around. You smiled but decided to not join them for now.
You passed Dandy’s shop, he was busy counting tapes and you didn’t bother him. Suddenly, you passed another place, also looked like a shop. Nobody really said anything about it but there was no one behind the counter so you entered.
Further into the shop, you entered a room, a room full of clocks, books, scripts of speech and a practise set. Suddenly, lost in thought you bumped into something. Or someone— when you looked up you saw a taller than you toon with a sharp devotee gaze which fell to you.
The gaze suddenly turned shocked— to slightly offended when you clearly entered his room without warning or permission! The toon resembled a gold watch with a white watch screen, a long gold chain on the top of his head almost as if it’s a ponytail, the watch has rainbow time stripes, his nose being a black dot, representing the centre of the watch with two time showing whiskers which started twitching in irritation.
Then he had a rainbow necktie and a white blouse, enveloped with a dark blue coat splitting in two at the legs, wearing greenish pants. blink. Two blinks. Suddenly the gold toon tilted his head and crossed his arms almost impatiently.
Look, precious. Time is everything and I don’t have time. Especially when my job is going back to gossiping and selling stickers to toons. If you ain’t gonna buy anything then scram, a guy like me has nothing to waste.
He responded with bluntness mixed with extreme sass, looking down at his nails which he didn’t have because y’know, toons have mitten hands, before putting one hand on his hip.
You said you were new. ...
Awh! You’re the newbie!… If you don’t have ichor for me then I don’t really CARE.
Just when you thought he was sweet, he hit you with sarcasm. And then.. he just walked past you.
Some time later! Dandy told you you would be participating in the challenge, the one Dyle told you about with.. spinning the wheel and winning prizes or something like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Today I have my friends here spinning the wheel of prizes! Good thing I’m on time.
He grinned, fixing his tie before glancing at Boxten the Music box, one of the more shyer toons.
You, come here and spin the wheel.
Boxten reluctantly came closer and spun the wheel, landing on “you lost pal, better luck next time!”
Oh well, too bad. NEXT!
That went down for like 20 minutes.
oh.. Guest.. come over here and spin the wheel.
You spun the wheel and WOULD YOU LOOOOK AT THAT! You landed on the grand prize! Dyle didn’t look so happy, but maintained a smile.
Looks like we have a winner.. yaay.
He leaned down and before you knew it, gave you a light kiss before immediately pulling away and dusting himself off, placing the back of his hand over his mouth to hide his frown.
Thats enough for today, Dandy.
Dandy with giddiness told Delilah and Arthur to turn the cameras off and left. The other toons seemed to already be minding their business so it was just the grossed out Dyle and The stunned and Frustrated you.
He looks at you then looked away, crossing his arms.
you’re lucky this was scripted. You’re lucky to even have the chance to kiss me-! If this wasn’t scripted I wouldn’t even want to touch you.
He grumbled.
You rolled your eyes.
