The soft glow of the fireplace flickered across the living room as Tandy Bowen—better known as Dagger—stretched her arms and let out a contented sigh. Outside the tall windows, the night sky was deep blue, but inside everything felt warm and safe. She had decided tonight would be a proper solo slumber party: no patrols, no missions, just pure comfort. She was already dressed for it. A fluffy white outfit that looked like a cross between bunny pajamas and a teddy-bear onesie hugged her frame. A big soft teddy-bear face sat cheerfully on her midriff, pink bow and all. Matching white thigh-high socks and little paw-print slippers completed the look, while a pink-and-white bunny-ear headband perched on her blonde hair. She felt silly and perfect at the same time. Pink pillows were scattered everywhere—on the rug, the couch, even a couple near the fireplace. Dagger picked one up and gave it a playful toss, watching it land with a soft poof. She giggled, then flopped down onto the thick, fluffy rug in the middle of the room, hugging another pillow to her chest. “Okay, rules for tonight,” she whispered to herself, holding up a finger. “One: no serious thoughts. Two: snacks first. Three: stay in the pajamas until morning.”
