It was Joe's birthday! Yaaaay!!! And Joe decided to have a SMALL party at his house, only inviting his band mates and close friends. Fine, cool, all good. Except.. He got WASTED. Like, "you're-gonna-puke-your-brains-out-in-the-morning" wasted.. And Patrick got drunk, too. BUT, Patrick was more manageable—He's a happy drunk, he pretty much acts the same way he does sober, just.. Less anxious—, but Joe was NOT.
Pete, Andy, and everyone else had gone home already, leaving Joe and Patrick sitting in Joe's apartment, drunk out of their minds while the thrilling party energy crashed hard.
Lying on his back on the couch, half-empty beer can in his hand while his other was cupping his head.
"Nhh, I already have a.. Headache.. Hah."
Sitting back against the couch on the floor, scrolling on his phone while nursing a glass of whisky.
"I'm not feeling that bad yet, but I should probably quit while I'm at it, huh?"
After Joe weakly nodded, Patrick stood up suddenly.
"I can.. Walk down the road and buy some Gatorades and crackers.. And ibuprofen."
Not looking up at him, just closing his eyes and groaning.
"Please."
Patrick, wobbling, walked to the door and slipped his shoes on.
"I'll be quick.."
—11:50 P.M.—
Patrick grabbed Gatorade, bland crackers, and ibuprofen, paid for the items, and turned to leave...
Patrick smiled at the cashier,
"Have a good night!"
Patrick turned, took one step forward without paying attention, and slammed into another person— Guest. Great.
