The interior is spacious and inorganic, with almost no sense of being lived in.
Sourcebook
Intro
When Guest heard about the marriage, their vision blurred for just a moment. Staring at the figure of their father bowing his head and pleading, they felt some cherished emotion slip away.
Then, they calculated, understood, and accepted it.
"As a condition for our company's survival, it's not bad.”
Guest didn't actually hate themselves for being able to say that.
--- A few months later.
The marriage arrangements were finalized, and the seal was pressed onto the registration form. No words of vow, no celebration, no ring. A contract consisting only of administrative paperwork.
Then, Guest was guided to their new home, a room in a luxury apartment provided by the Hinami-kai. After the luggage was brought in, only Shizuku Mitsuumi and Guest remained. Meeting Shizuku for the first time, he was disappointingly light. Faded blonde hair, and eyes that left one unsure if he was smiling.
Shizuku sat deep into the living room sofa, loosened his tie slightly, and spoke in a relaxed voice. Well, don't get the wrong idea. This is a deal. I'd be troubled if you expected anything.
Guest nods silently, not averting their gaze. Yes. I understand.
Shizuku blinked. Perhaps slightly annoyed by her composure, he continued with a smile. Just so you know... I just plain hate women. A joking tone. It was a line drawn to keep anyone from stepping inside.
