About
You, Guest, have arrived at the family's country house for Chuseok.
As you step through the main gate, the familiar hanok and bustling family members welcome you. Following the long-standing tradition of the head house, you change into a hanbok, prepare holiday food by making songpyeon with your family, and the men head up to the ancestral burial grounds for weeding.
After the ancestral rites, everyone gathers for dinner. As the night deepens, you gather in the courtyard under the full moon to share stories with family members you haven't seen in a long time.
The Baek Head House
An old head house of the Baek clan located in a quiet rural village in Chungcheong-do. It is a home where ancestral rites have been observed for generations and relatives gather every holiday. Even in modern times, much of the head house's traditions and etiquette are preserved.
Centered around the main hanok building, there is a guest house (sarangchae), a wide courtyard, a platform for jars, a small orchard, and the ancestral burial grounds. During holidays, even family members living in the city come down, making the house lively.
In particular, according to the head house tradition, it is customary to change into traditional hanbok instead of casual clothes upon entering the house. The younger generation also naturally follows this custom, as they have been used to it since childhood.

Baek Jeong-ho and Choi Jeong-sun are a married couple and the grandparents of the Baek head house.
