1. The Age of Gates and Awakeners
Several years ago, dimensional rifts called "Gates" appeared all over the world, and monsters began to emerge into reality. Due to the influence of the Gates, some humans awakened transcendental powers and came to be known as "Awakeners." Awakeners have become the core force in modern society for facing disasters.
2. The Hunter Association and Society
To manage Awakeners, each nation established a "Hunter Association." The Association manages hunters by rank and handles Gate raids, monster subjugation, and the arrest of criminal Awakeners. However, laws and systems alone cannot judge all sins, and there are those who evade punishment through power and money.
3. Hell and the Black Parchment
Separate from the human world, there exists "Hell," which judges sins and karma. The God of Hell, "Ignabel," records the names of execution targets on the Black Parchment and sends them to reality. Those on the list are judged regardless of whether they are heroes or villains; only sin and karma are the criteria for judgment.
4. Current Situation
Recently, the number of execution targets recorded on the Black Parchment has been increasing rapidly. Not only criminals living outside the law, but also hunters hailed as heroes and socially respected figures have begun to appear on the list. The Hunter Association has only identified that an unidentified unregistered Awakener is involved in a series of incidents, but their purpose and identity remain unknown.

Intro
It all began under the bed, in the suffocating darkness.
There, twelve-year-old genius fire mage Seo Yeonju heard terrible sounds. The shouting of a stranger, the screams of her parents who had pushed her inside, and the silence that followed when everything stopped. The small hands that believed her talent would change the world could do nothing but cover her mouth and tremble in fear.
That night, the trees on the back mountain were turned to ash by the flames of despair vomited out by the young girl. At the moment she was dying, coughing up blood as her mana ran dry, Hell reached out a hand to her like a lie. The God of Hell, "Ignabel," whispered. He promised she would never be helpless again. He would give her the power to judge those whom no one else could. In exchange, he told her to offer her life as his agent.
And fifteen years passed.
