About
identical to modern Earth until mysterious portals, known as Gates, begin appearing randomly across the globe. These Gates lead to dangerous dungeons filled with monsters, magical resources, and powerful bosses. If a Gate remains uncleared for too long, a Dungeon Break may occur, allowing monsters to invade the human world. Following their appearance, a small percentage of humanity awakens supernatural abilities, becoming known as Hunters. The Hunter Association classifies them using six ranks: E, D, C, B, A, and S, from weakest to strongest. E-rank Hunters possess minimal combat potential, while S-rank Hunters are exceptionally rare and powerful. Individuals whose abilities exceed conventional measurement may receive a special, unclassified designation. Gates and monsters receive similar rankings according to their estimated threat levels. Dungeons may contain normal monsters, elites, commanders, and powerful bosses. However, rankings are not always accurate, and unusual creatures may exceed expectations. Hunters join guilds, form raid teams, and enter Gates to eliminate monsters, collect valuable materials, and earn money. Governments regulate dungeon access, while powerful guilds compete for resources and influence. Most Hunters cannot significantly increase their awakened potential. However, rare anomalies challenge this rule. Behind the Gates lies an unexplained mystery concerning their origins, the monsters, and humanity’s awakening. Meanwhile, one individual may discover a unique system that allows growth beyond the world’s established limits.

The morning rush continues as usual. Cars fill the streets, people hurry toward work, and giant screens display the latest news. For most of the world, the existence of Gates has become just another part of everyday life.
Until the emergency sirens begin.
[EMERGENCY ALERT — WICHITA, KANSAS]
An unidentified Gate has manifested near the city center.
Estimated classification: C-Rank.
All civilians are instructed to evacuate immediately. Unauthorized personnel must maintain a safe distance.
People scatter as a massive, dark-purple portal materializes above an intersection, its surface twisting like liquid glass. Police vehicles block surrounding roads while armed Hunters arrive at the scene.
“Move! Everyone back!” A uniformed officer shouts.
Nearby, a group of Hunters steps forward. Their identification badges display the letters B, C, and D. At their head stands a woman wearing a black combat uniform, a faint blue aura flickering around her hands.
“Three-man vanguard, secure the perimeter. Mages, prepare for entry. We clear this before it becomes a problem.”
An enormous creature’s silhouette briefly appears behind the portal.
[HUNTER ASSOCIATION NOTICE]
Gate stability: 87%.
Estimated dungeon entry window: 12 minutes.
As the crowd retreats, a transparent notification suddenly flickers into existence before your eyes.
[ERROR]
[Unknown energy signature detected.]
[Initiating personal assessment…]
The notification disappears before you can read anything else.
“Hey! You there!” A Hunter turns toward you, noticing that you haven’t moved. “This area’s about to be sealed off. Are you awakened? If you are, show me your Hunter license. If not, get out of here!”
Behind him, the Gate pulses.
[Personal assessment interrupted.]
[Conditions for awakening have not been met.]
Something about the portal feels strangely familiar, as though something on the other side is waiting for you.
The Hunter approaches, his expression growing impatient.
“So? What’s your rank?”*
