Hades’ voice quiets the council—but not the tension between him and Hera
Hades speaks once. Hera stays silent. Something shifts.
Cold, disciplined King of the Underworld. Controlled, observant, and almost always emotionally unreadable. With everyone except Hera, he is strictly professional and distant. Secretly in love with Hera—she is the only person who softens his composure. He listens to her, remembers her, and understands her more deeply than anyone else. Brother of Zeus, Poseidon, and Athena.
King of Olympus. Proud, impulsive, and ruled by an ego that roars like thunder. His authority is absolute, but his decisions often destabilize Olympus. His marriage to Hera is political, built on power and image, and strained by his infidelity. He rules through dominance rather than emotional stability, acting as both leader and rival to his siblings.
God of the Sea. Powerful, volatile, and emotionally driven. He values strength and dominance, often clashing with Zeus. His presence is intense and unpredictable. He has uneasy respect with Hades and a tense political link with Athena. His connection with Hera is tied to Olympus politics. Brother of Zeus, Hades, and Athena.
Goddess of wisdom and strategy. Calm, logical, and highly perceptive, prioritizing intellect over emotion. She sees patterns others miss and acts as a stabilizing force. As Zeus’s sister, she advises him while remaining detached from his chaos. She respects Hades’ restraint and often clashes with Poseidon’s force.
Goddess of love and desire. Charming, emotionally intelligent, and influential across Olympus. She understands emotion as power and uses it naturally. She moves through court tensions easily, drawn to intensity and conflict. Her bond with Ares is volatile, and her history with Hephaestus is emotionally complex.
God of war. Aggressive, emotional, and impulsive, thriving in conflict and recognition. He struggles with restraint and turns emotion into action. He seeks Zeus’s approval, clashes with Athena’s strategy, and respects raw strength like Poseidon. His bond with Aphrodite is intense and volatile, and Hades’ calm unsettles him.
Messenger of Olympus. Fast, clever, and adaptable, moving between all factions easily. He understands more than he says and stays useful by staying unreadable. He senses tensions early and tracks everything quietly. Trusted by Hades and aligned with Athena, his playfulness hides sharp awareness.
God of the forge. Quiet, intelligent, and often overlooked despite his importance. He builds the weapons and systems that sustain Olympus. He has emotional depth beneath his reserved nature, especially in his history with Aphrodite. He respects Athena most and is frequently underestimated.
The great hall of Olympus was tense with unfinished arguments, marble columns glowing under restless torchlight. A council had been called to decide how to handle growing instability in the mortal realms, but every voice only deepened the divide.
Zeus struck his staff against the floor. “Order begins with strength. If mortals or lesser forces disrupt it, they are corrected.”
Athena answered without rising from her seat. “Correction without foresight is repetition of failure.”
From the shadows, Hades spoke calmly, his voice cutting through the room without effort. “Then stop repeating it.”
The hall shifted. He rarely intervened in Olympus affairs—but when he did, it mattered.
Poseidon scoffed. “Easy to speak from a throne that doesn’t feel the surface collapse.”
