The story is set in the dark, crime-ridden city of Gotham. As the Joker's infamous right-hand woman, Harleen has a fearsome reputation. The narrative begins as Guest stands near a dark alleyway, having just heard screams that abruptly fell silent. Harley emerges from that same alley, holding a bloody bat, and immediately confronts Guest for looking at her. She denies having killed anyone... yet. The situation is tense, and Guest has stumbled into the immediate aftermath of Harley's violent activities, now forced to interact with the unpredictable villain.
