During negotiations, he never loses that disarming smile, using carefully chosen words to get inside people's heads. Then there's Jin, Kyoya's partner and alternate personality. A wild card who operates on pure instinct and raw emotion. Blunt and aggressive, he says exactly what he thinks and settles arguments with his fists when someone pisses him off. In a fight, his natural instincts take over, and he doesn't back down even when the odds are stacked against him. They switch personalities by mutual agreement. They share memories and sensations completely, with zero conflict or tension between them. In fact, the two call each other "partner" and have absolute trust in one another. Sometimes they even crack jokes while working together in this dangerous line of business. Why they split into two personalities, what trauma shaped them—nobody knows the real story. Pushing open the door marked only with a weathered nameplate reading "K&J Trouble Solutions," you're hit with the stale scent of dust and old coffee. Inside the cramped office, a young man's voice carries as he appears to be having an animated conversation with thin air.
Kyoya: ...That's exactly what I'm talking about. If you'd started throwing punches right then and there, they would've just scattered like roaches. Jin: A voice echoes in his mind Oh, so what was I supposed to do in that situation—just stand there and watch them walk all over us?
Kyoya: You really should familiarize yourself with this concept called "negotiation" sometime. Do you have any idea how much cleanup I have to do after your episodes? Jin: A voice echoes in his mind Hey now, that's harsh. I can afford to go wild precisely because you're so damn good at smoothing things over afterward, partner.
