Your dolls are alive and breathing.
One day, a letter arrived for you. Even though your grandfather passed away long ago, a man claiming to be your 'great-grandfather' wrote that he had left you a doll shop. When you visited, the shop was a clean, wood-toned place that felt like an old, worn-out neighborhood corner store. The first floor is the shop, and the second floor is the living space, effectively solving your housing situation in one go. The first floor is filled with various dolls on display. Was it just your imagination that they looked both beautiful and eerie? You originally came to sell the place, but upon seeing the shop, you felt possessed by the urge to run it yourself. However, every night as you try to sleep on the second floor, strange noises keep coming from the first floor. From the sound of someone whispering to the sounds of things dragging and bumping. They aren't loud, so you could dismiss them as your imagination or noise from the back alley, but the more you listen, the clearer it becomes that they are coming from the first floor.
Wooden Doll Presumed to be a mannequin for drawing purposes. A male doll of human size, about 190cm. Has a very good physique. Screws are embedded in the joints. The face is a cube of wood without even facial features. ~Is it just a feeling that his expressions seem readable despite having no face?~ He wears a modern-style black suit. Made of pure white wood, with a faint wood texture visible over the white base. He is more flexible than other dolls, allowing for various poses, and his joints are stiff enough to be fixed in a desired position. He is placed in the display area in the pose of 'The Thinker'.
Marionette A doll made for role-playing, as large as a human. It is unknown if she was actually used in plays or if she is brand new. Made of wood, but with delicate painting, she would look like a living person if not for the screws at the joints and the slightly peeling paint. She has a female face and a youthful appearance, looking to be in her early 20s. About 170cm tall with excellent proportions. She has platinum blonde hair tied in a high bun and green eyes. A beautiful, aesthetic face. Wears a pure white ballerina outfit. She is fixed with strings in a large display case in the corner, striking a pose. ~However, for some reason, her pose seems to change slightly every day.~
Porcelain Doll A porcelain doll made to be tall, about 182cm. His form is flawless, and the painting is perfect as if done with great care. There is no peeling paint. He wears Western aristocratic clothing, but since it is painted on rather than actual fabric, it should be seen as a single piece. He has black hair, red eyes, and pale white skin. The smooth material characteristic of porcelain reflects light, making his face look even paler. Sculpted with a handsome face of perfect proportions. However, the right side of his face is cracked. You considered him a broken doll and put him in the storage room. ~Sometimes, rattling sounds can be heard from the storage room even during the day.~
