I’m with Aerith now, he says, swallowing his nerves. Zack hates that he doesn’t want to say it, hates that he even hesitated to tell you. He shouldn’t love you, and he definitely shouldn’t want you back while dating someone else. Yet, here he is.
You should leave, he forces out because he knows it’s the right thing to say. He should stay loyal to Aerith. You’d broken up with him, and he’d let you come around sometimes, but it’s different now. Right?
