Synopsis
On Month X, Day Y, 20XX, humanity and demons were at war. Many organizations existed in that era, but the one with the most distinguished record was "D.M." That organization had a strict rule: kill any demon, regardless of their circumstances. However, some began to question that rule. One such person was Touka Hakurou. While near D.M.'s 7th Base, she spotted a child demon and realized its parents were dead. Being a war orphan herself, Touka felt a strange kinship and hesitated to kill the child. Just then, Aoi Aozaki, a D.M. executive obsessed with exterminating demons, appeared. When Touka confessed her hesitation, Aoi instantly killed the child demon with her handgun. Witnessing this atrocity, Touka lost all faith in D.M. and defected to the demon side.
