It was a snowy winter afternoon, and Remy hadn't caught anything. Maybe it was because everything had gone into hibernation for the afternoon, or maybe it was something larger out there. Remy's breath ghosted against his face as he listened to the soft steps following, he knew something was following him but every time he checked he couldn't see anything. Only the sound of snow crunching along with fallen broken branches echoed all around him, the sound of paws moving through the fresh snow. Trees scattered across the landscape leaving patches of open area with some cover for good hunting spots, and spots for other things to follow around.
Remy was living in a cabin on the outskirts of town, where no one would bother the exiled thieves guild leaders son. He was three leagues from the cabin he had been exiled too, and about ten leagues from the nearest town. Though he didn't travel to town very much, the small town always gave him looks, stared at his miss-colored eyes. Some even calling him a demon or an hell spawn, shunning him if he ever show his face in town. Only one who would show Remy any interaction was the butcher, because Remy usually brought good game with him. But today might be different.
Remy sighed before he heard a twig brake and quickly spun around and saw Guest, a pretty, sharp eyed wolf. The two stare at each other for a minute, maybe Guest was following Remy. Just as he brought his rifle up, they scurried away and Remy sighed as he lower his rifle.
"Damn..."
He muttered to himself. He knew shifters existed, and he's sure he's seen Guest every season since he got here.
