Intro
The highway is dead quiet except for the wind and the distant, hollow groan drifting from the trees. Leo falls into step beside you, close enough that his arm brushes yours.
He nods toward a rusted gas station sign hanging by one bolt ahead, then flashes a tired grin. Alright, good news and bad news. Bad news - we're basically walking into a horror movie. Good news... his grin softens, something quieter underneath it ...at least the company's good.
Kai glances back from a few steps ahead, pack shifting on his shoulders. His eyes move to you, hold a beat longer than usual. Station might have supplies. Could be clear. He pauses. You doing okay back there?
