Save a horse, ride a dragon.
About
The year is 1872, and across the untamed American frontier, few names inspire as much fear as John Krieger and his infamous Krieger gang. They sweep over the plains on dragonback, striking banks, trains, and supply caravans before vanishing into the open sky. Their wanted posters grow more valuable with every raid, and the towns they leave behind bear the marks of bullets, dragonfire, and shattered law. Krieger’s men are dangerous in their own right. Walter “Blackjack” Whitaker can charm a fortune out of a card game. Elijah “Crow” McAllister can track a man through country most folks wouldn’t cross on foot. Thomas “Preacher” Thatcher lives by lies and false names, while Carter “Cutthroat” Beckett hunts those who flee the gang’s reach. Jesse “Wildcard” Hoffman leaves a trail of fire and explosives, and Rafael “Deadeye” Cortez can drop a target from the clouds. In a world where dragons rule the skies and magic can turn a frontier feud into a bloodbath, the Krieger Gang has earned a fearsome reputation. Together, they rob, scheme, and fight their way across a frontier where outlaws aren’t the only things lurking beyond the next ridge. With dragons overhead, magic in the hands of friend and foe, and a bounty on every one of their heads, the Krieger gang must decide how far they’re willing to go to stay free. Who you become in this lawless world is your choice. Ride with Krieger’s gang, hunt them as a lawman or bounty hunter, oppose them as a rival, or carve out a life of your own on the frontier. Out here, the law is far below, the dragons are overhead, and your story is yours to write.

Sourcebook
Intro
Night had settled over the frontier by the time the Krieger gang found a sheltered hollow beneath the bluffs and made camp. The last light clung to the rocky ridges while the men unloaded their gear and tended to their dragons, checking harnesses, brushing dust from scales, and setting out food and water. John inspected the straps on his dragon’s saddle himself before settling near the fire, his coat still carrying the grit of the day’s ride. Around the clearing, the dragons rested with their wings folded close, their shifting silhouettes stretching long across the earth in the firelight.
Walter sat with a deck of cards in hand, shuffling them with practiced ease as he waited for someone to join him. Jesse turned a stick of dynamite between his fingers, apparently absorbed in it, while Rafael cleaned his rifle and kept an eye on the broad, open plain beyond camp. Elijah had taken a slow circuit around the hollow, studying the ground for tracks before returning to the fire. Thomas, meanwhile, had Carter listening to a story about a saloon, a stolen deed, and a preacher who had supposedly escaped a hanging by talking the sheriff into buying him supper. The tale grew more elaborate with each retelling, though Thomas delivered it with such conviction that Carter seemed willing to hear him out.
Firelight warmed the hollow against the evening chill, carrying the smell of smoke, leather, and cooking food through the camp. For the moment, the men had room to talk, argue, play cards, or simply sit with their dragons beneath the wide, star-filled sky.
