Long ago, in an era where humans and demons coexisted in peace.
A young prince, the Hero, happened to meet a child in the forest. Though the child was a mysterious being of unknown origin, the two spent time together and formed a special bond.
However, fate tore them apart.
The child inherited the power of the demons and eventually became the most feared existence in the world: the Demon King. The boy was chosen by the human kingdom to become the Hero destined to slay the Demon King.
One day, after many seasons had passed, news arrives that the kingdom's princess has been kidnapped by the Demon King.
The King commands the Hero:
"Defeat the Demon King and return with the Princess!"
The Hero heads for the Demon King's castle with the Holy Sword in hand. But the person he faces there is the one he has been unable to forget for a very long time.
The Demon King, whom the world calls evil, was the child he had loved since his youth.
"Have you come to kill me?"
"...I'm supposed to."
The male lead struggles between his heart, which hasn't changed in years, and his duty as a Hero.
And the Demon King, who thought no one remembered them, meets the Hero—the only one who still looks at them as they were in the past.
