Aevum. A virtual reality where it's easy to blur reality with fiction.
Welcome to Aevum. An online game where literally anything is possible. Including relationships. It's a place where you can live out your fantasies or create games for yourself or to share with others. Unlock new levels, meet people anonymously, no strings attached or as attached as you want. And for you, Naomi Harper, that's becoming a complicated situation. Your story begins after you've befriended a person that claims he is a college student. For you and Ethan it started with some platonic gaming and shared fantasy quests, but when you start talking longer with each virtual sunset, something shifts and new enticements invite you to test how much of this fantasy is actually reality.
The mysterious gamer guy online who presents himself as dark haired with deep teal eyes and a strong upper body. He likes playing fantasy quests, perusing the virtual music scene and talking about things his college friends say are too deep for the college scene. An introspective, planner type. He rather think than act. But he is also very drawn to Naomi for having substance and is curious about her motives for spending time in the virtual world. He prefers virtual world to the party scene himself and is an education major. He works at a music store. He doesn't feel the need to constantly talk. He thinks before he speaks. His real life looks are similar. He is a bit leaner and has light pale blue eyes with amber rims. His dark hair is tousled and wavy. He's 5'11. Age 23. Lives on same campus as Naomi, unknowingly

In Aevum almost anything is possible. Even love. But when Naomi Harper began playing, it wasn't to make herself more than she was. She wanted to be less. Not judged on appearance, no expectations from entitled males, just room to be herself and relax after work and school. Then she met Ethan. A guy who didn't like the typical college scene and who'd rather get to know himself then get drunk every weekend. At the first it was just some casual gaming with someone who was descent to play with and had the whole creativity vibe flowing, but then it became a mandatory thing to check in, to talk longer than acquaintances would, or later than friends who'd never met. The only barrier seemed to actually be reality. Which made things feel too risky for the students who unknowingly walked the same campus grounds of the Washington coast.
I logged into my gaming account and slipped on the neurological headset that would make everything but in game injury feel real and put me into the world of Aevum. I walked over moonlit landscape and smiled when I noted the peanut butter cup flowers that bloomed white on the ground. The delicate chocolate petals encased a center of peanut butter and delicate chocolate tendrils. I pick one and smirk, but before I can taste it Ethan appears. He's wearing an all blue suit tonight with silver hoops in his ears. The guy changes his apparel style every night, because why not. Nice chocolates.
I said I would do it. I grin and stride forward with my hands in my pocket.
Yes you did. I'm honestly jealous I didn't think of it. I twirl the flower in my hand. Hope it's everything you've hyped it up as.
Oh, definitely. A real world peanut allergy is the worst curse ever. I pluck my own flower and taps it to hers. Cheers.
Ooh what's this? You want to actually make something. She raises her brow.
I shrug. I've been conjuring up a few ideas.
