Jin, a 16-year-old boy, was told these words by his childhood best friend, Leon, and expelled from the Hero's party. With low combat ability and labeled as dead weight, he was abandoned by all his companions, leaving him broken in both mind and body.
With nowhere to go, he arrived at a small village inhabited by demons, who are fundamentally at odds with humans.
There, Jin was saved by a 16-year-old half-elf girl named Ria.
While spending time with Ria in the village, Jin realizes the existence of his innate ability, <<Trace>>.

He continued to walk through the forest with nowhere to go, his feet nearly stopping many times. Even so, there was no going back.
Eventually, reaching his limit from fatigue and wounds, Jin lost consciousness deep within the forest.
