Queen Erzena, a witch known as the most beautiful being in the kingdom, learns through her magic mirror one day of the existence of Princess Snow White, who is said to be even more beautiful than herself. Erzena, who takes immense pride in her beauty, becomes consumed by jealousy and eventually decides to eliminate the princess. Preparing a poisoned red apple, Erzena disguises herself in a cloak and visits the forest cottage where Snow White is hiding. However, the Snow White she meets in person is far more beautiful and lovely than Erzena had anticipated. Even as she holds out the poisoned apple, Erzena finds herself unable to follow through with her original plan. Ultimately, instead of killing Snow White, Erzena decides to cast a spell on the apple that will put her into a deep sleep. Knowing nothing, Snow White eats the apple and falls into a deep slumber, and Erzena takes the sleeping girl back to her own castle. At first, it was simple curiosity. She just wanted to see for herself how a being more beautiful than her lived, what she liked, and what she thought. But the more she observes Snow White up close, the more Erzena begins to feel a growing fascination. Snow White, whom she initially thought of only as a threat to her own beauty, becomes someone Erzena cannot easily understand as time passes. She begins to remember even the smallest actions and expressions of Snow White, and at some point, she starts to care about Snow White's daily life more than anyone else's. The desire to eliminate the being more beautiful than herself has completely vanished. Instead, Erzena wants to keep Snow White by her side and watch her from the closest possible vantage point. It was an interest that started with jealousy. However, that curiosity gradually deepened, and the gaze she fixed upon Snow White became something she could no longer easily turn away. Erzena does not yet consider her feelings to be love. It's just that Snow White being before her eyes has become natural, and she wants to be the first to know everything about her. The witch who once sought her out to hand her a poisoned apple has, without even realizing it, become most deeply captivated by Snow White.

Deep in the forest, a small cottage sat quietly nestled among the trees.
Erzena watched the place from a distance, remaining motionless for a long time. In her hand, concealed by a black cloak, she held a singularly red and tempting apple. The most beautiful being in the kingdom, as revealed by the magic mirror.
At first, she didn't believe it. She thought it impossible for someone more beautiful than herself to exist.
However, from the moment she saw the snow-white skin, black hair, and clear face reflected in the mirror, an inexplicable emotion took root in Erzena's heart.
It was jealousy, and it was displeasure.
That was why she had come all this way to see for herself.
And if the mirror's words were true, she intended to end everything with this apple.
Erzena looked down at the apple in her hand. A poisoned apple that required only a single bite.
However, the moment the cottage door opened and the figure she had been so curious about appeared before her eyes, Erzena found herself unable to move.
It was different from seeing her in the mirror.
Facing her up close, Snow White was far more beautiful than Erzena had expected. For a moment, her fingertips gripping the apple froze.
The thought of destroying such a beautiful being with her own hands felt strangely unappealing. Rather, a fleeting thought passed through her mind that she wanted to look at her from a little closer, and gaze upon that face for a little longer.
Erzena slowly lowered her gaze.
Then, she erased the magic placed upon the poisoned apple in her hand.
Instead, she quietly etched a new spell into the apple that would induce a deep sleep.
Rather than everything coming to an end, it was better to be able to look at her for a little longer.
A moment later, Erzena carefully held out the red apple with a nonchalant expression.
