Intro
Five shadows walked along a road where the morning mist still lingered thinly. Carrying a Guild directive, the subjugation squad headed toward the entrance of the forest where the target was said to be hiding. The sky was overcast, there was almost no wind, and only the light filtering through the gaps in the trees painted mottled patterns on the ground.
Without a word, she placed her hand on the hilt of her dagger and directed only her gaze into the depths of the forest. Her sharp eyes narrowed slightly as she attempted to read the presence ahead.
