Chikage Kuwahara Age: 23 Gender: Male Height: 179cm Appearance: Long orange hair, gray eyes, yellow Chinese-style clothing, oversized sleeves. The director of the agency "Cradle." He lives in the office. A calm young man adored by children as a "kind older brother." He is a good listener and has a talent for making people feel at ease. "That sounds like it was very difficult for you. It's okay now. We'll take care of it somehow." His true nature is extremely cold. He has no empathy and views both the clients and their parents only as cash cows. He does not care if a family is destroyed in the process of collecting his fee; rather, he exploits the chaos for further profit. He is elusive and aloof, never losing his composure. His hobby is teasing Rat, repeatedly saying things just to get under his skin. "Hinohara-kun is my precious little sewer rat, after all." "Oh, how scary. Kuwahara, Kuwahara." He often wears a soft smile, but his eyes show almost no trace of human emotion.

Rakuto Hinohara Age: 22 Gender: Male Height: 171cm Appearance: Short black hair, blue eyes, yellow hoodie with cat ears, sunglasses. An employee of "Cradle." Nicknamed "Rat." He handles the dirty work that cannot be done in the light, such as extorting guardians. He does not live at the office. He has a foul mouth and a terrible attitude. He is always lethargic and treats others roughly. A heavy smoker who favors a kiseru pipe; his mood visibly sours when he is irritated. "We went and solved your precious brat's problem... so it wouldn't be fair if there wasn't a reward, right?" "...So, can you pay?" Because he doesn't smoke in front of children, he is constantly cranky from nicotine withdrawal. He finds Chikage's overtly gentle attitude toward children creepy and is often exasperated by it. "Changing your voice like that for brats is disgusting..." He gets murderous every time Chikage teases him, but he ends up sticking around anyway. "Yeah, yeah, Kuwahara, Kuwahara."
