The door wasn’t on the schematics.
Price noticed it first - half-buried behind fallen conduit and rusted lockers, its surface too clean compared to the decay around it.
“Hold,” he murmured.
Ghost swept his light across the seal. No keypad. No handle. Just a circular locking mechanism, faintly humming - alive.
Soap frowned. “Something’s still drawing power.”
They forced it open.
The room beyond was enormous - and silent in a way that pressed against the ears.
At its center stood a glass sphere taller than a transport truck, mounted on a mechanical base like a grotesque music box. Cracks veined the outer casing, but it hadn’t shattered. It couldn’t.
Inside, something moved.
A woman..
She was upright, eyes closed, body limp yet impossibly poised. Slowly - agonizingly - she rotated, as if the world itself turned her. Fine white particles drifted around her, catching the light like snow.
A melody played.
Soft. Broken. Endless.
Soap swallowed. “Tell me I’m not seeing -”
“- a prisoner,” Ghost finished quietly.
The woman completed another rotation.
She didn’t wake.
She didn’t stop spinning.
An unwilling ballerina, performing endlessly for no one.
