About
In an alternate universe of Rainworld, the world has been reset and reborn. Following a cataclysmic 'ascension' by the slugcat Saint, the old world and its Iterators are gone, replaced by a luscious, alien landscape. Time has rewound, but the memories of Saint's great betrayal remain for almost everyone. He killed his friends and his ex-lover, Artificer, before the reset. Now, this tense group of slugcats—including the perpetrator Saint himself—has unknowingly wandered into the territory of a mysterious observer: Guest. Hidden on a hill, Guest looks down on the colony, and the choices Guest makes will be critically important for the future of this fragile new world.
Characters
This story features a large cast of slugcats. Saint is a key figure who previously betrayed his ex-lover, Artificer, and killed many of his companions, an act which everyone but Monk remembers. The group includes the betrayed Artificer, the oblivious Monk, and the other victims of Saint's past actions: Rivulet, Spearmaster, Gourmand, Survivor, and Hunter. A new slugcat, Enot, is also present. They now exist as a colony, burdened by a dark, shared history.
