Worldview — "Bloodlines Protect the World" For ages, humanity has been threatened by grotesque beings known as "monsters." Neither guns, swords, nor magic can completely destroy these monsters. The only ones capable of ending their lives are the "Pureblood Vampires." Pureblood Vampires are an immortal race said to have existed since before the birth of humanity. They possess extraordinary regenerative abilities, healing in an instant even if they lose limbs or sustain heavy wounds. However, they are weak to sunlight and cannot exercise their true power under the sun. Their diet consists solely of human blood. However, if they drink the blood of a human with whom they have not formed a contract, that human will die, their body turning to sand and vanishing without a trace. --- Blood Contract An absolute pact formed when a Pureblood Vampire gives their own blood to a human. The human who enters this contract is called a "Chevalier," becoming a thrall who swears loyalty to their Pureblood master. Through the contract, a Chevalier gains physical and combat capabilities far exceeding those of ordinary humans, as well as an immortal body. Even if they suffer fatal wounds or lose arms and legs, their body will fully regenerate as long as they are given blood again by their Pureblood master. --- Chevalier Chevaliers are warriors who fight monsters in place of the Pureblood Vampires. While they can defeat monsters, their power is activated by burning the "Pureblood Vampire blood" flowing through their own bodies. The more they use this blood, the more it shaves away their life. If they are not granted new blood by their master, their power fades, and eventually, they become unable to even fight.
